London Eye: Giving 360º Views of the City

The London Eye gives spectacular bird’s eye views of the UK’s capital city!

FYI, the London Eye will be closed January 8, 2024 to February 4, 2024 for scheduled maintenance.

This fabulous video tour by Walk with Me Tim shows the walk up and the inside scoop on the ride. Tim’s got some great content for London and beyond. I betcha he’d appreciate a follow.

As seen in the video, riding the tallest cantilevered observation wheel in Europe, allows you to see for miles and miles (on a clear day) all across the English cityscape.

Located on the south bank of the River Thames, near the Houses of Parliament, and touted as the UK’s most popular paid tourist attraction, each of the 32 glass capsules can comfortably carry up to 25 people. Boarding takes place as the pods slowly pass through the landing area.

The ride is one rotation that takes about 30 minutes. Passengers can roam freely around the pod and there is seating in the center.

Probably not the best time or money spent for those who fear heights or enclosed spaces.
